Anna Louisa Harris Friberg, 97, of South Amboy died on Thursday May 4, 2017 at University Medical Center of Princeton and Plainsboro. Born in the Melrose section of Sayreville she lived in South Amboy all her life. Before retiring she was a self-employed beautician.

Daughter of the late Author and Ethel Buckalew Harris she is also predeceased by her husband Nels G. Friberg in 2001; her daughter Florence E. Friberg in 1950; her grandson Ron Rausch in 2008 and her sisters Florence Timm, Dorothy Miller and Emmajane Menzzopane. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Linnea and Charles Stevenson of Greenfield, New Hampshire, Ethel and David Babcock of Hightstown and Anna Louisa “Babe” and Robert Mamrak of Weir, Mississippi; her beloved cousin Annemarie McCormack Ganz of Freehold; her grandchildren Anne, Jennifer, Ian, Kimberlee, Matthew, Leah and John; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 8 to 10am.
