Ellen M. Keenan Butler, 94, of South Amboy died on Monday January 22, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Jersey City she also lived in Lakewood, Sayreville and Old Bridge. Before retiring she was a teacher at St. Mary Elementary School, South Amboy. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she was also a Eucharistic Minister. She loved trips to Atlantic City.
Daughter of the late William and Agnes McGuire Keenan she is also predeceased by her husband William J. Butler in 1983 and her sisters Kitty, Anna, Rose, Mary, Pat and Peggy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linell “Linda” and Stan Kidalowski of East Brunswick; her brother Patrick Keenan of Princeton; her grandson Stan Kidalowski and his wife Debbie of North Carolina; her great-grandchildren Jessica, Danica, Andrew and Matthew and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 25, 2018 at 7:30pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 8pm.
