Eva Macagana Fiumefreddo, 92, of South Amboy died on Thursday September 7, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in New York City, she lived in Brooklyn, New York and Brick before moving to South Amboy 4 years ago. Before retiring she was employed by Citi Bank. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy.

Daughter of the late Adam and Kate Salitore Macagna she is also predeceased by her daughter Cathy Vurchio. She is survived by her husband Joseph Fiumefreddo; her son-in-law Joseph Vurchio and his wife Marni of Holmdel; her sister and brother-in-law Ann and Richard Reid of Boynton Beach, Florida; her grandchildren Joseph Vurchio and his wife Milena of Wayne, Alicia Berardocco and her husband Louis of South Amboy, Michael Vurchio and his fiancée Lucia of South Amboy and Adam Vurchio of Holmdel and her great-grandchildren Louis and Anthony Berardocco.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment will be in Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
