Fern S. Desmond, 52, of Galloway died on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at home. Born in South Amboy she lived most recently in Smithville. She was previously employed by ADP.

Daughter of the late Frances Hoffman Desmond she is survived by her father Dennis Desmond of Galloway; her sister Laurie Sziklas and her husband Ted of Hopewell Junction, New York and her nephews Charlie and Ben Sziklas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 7, 2017 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 8 to 8:45am.
