Margaret Lyons Youkoski, 95, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday February 9, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Old Bridge, New Jersey surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania she lived there all her life. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker who truly enjoyed baking. Many would look forward to her homemade Christmas cookies each year. She enjoyed doing the Irish Jig every St. Patrick’s Day, trips to Atlantic City, and most of all she always enjoyed being in the company of her family.

Daughter of the late John and Hannah Jones Lyons she is also predeceased by her husband George Youkoski in 1988 and her sister Helen in 1998. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Gerald McKitish of Old Bridge; her adored granddaughters Susan Chesakis and her husband Joseph of Old Bridge and Kristen Yankoski and her husband Joseph of Hackettstown; her precious great-granddaughter Adeline Grace Yankoski; her niece Helen Rose Krakoski of Warren Robbins, Georgia and a host of friends who called her “Grandma” because of her loving nature, she was truly adored by all who had the pleasure of being in her presence.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 13, 2017 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hanover, Pennsylvania on Tuesday February 14. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
