Michael Cohoon, 64, of South Amboy died on Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Flint, Michigan he lived in Old Bridge before moving to South Amboy in 1988. Before retiring he was employed as a maintenance mechanic in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently Halo Pharmaceuticals, Ridgefield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. A music lover, he was a longtime coach of both the South Amboy Little League and the Morgan Parlin Panthers.

Son of the late David Daniel and Edna Mae Abbott Cohoon he is survived by his wife Kathleen Shannon Cohoon; his son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Jessica Cohoon of Long Beach, Long Island; his daughter and son-in-law Shawn and Eric Valdes of Kearny; his daughter Shannon Cohoon of South Amboy; his grandchildren Kieran and Grayson Cohoon; his beloved family members in Michigan and his extended family throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday February 18, 2018 from 11am to 1pm at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
