Patricia J. Capik Guzofski, 76, of Port Reading died on Thursday September 28, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Rahway on January 20, 1941 she resided in Port Reading all her life. A communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Port Reading she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Port Reading-Sewaren Senior Citizens Club. A graduate of the Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing, her career took her from nursing to management in Perth Amboy General Hospital, Middlesex General Hospital, Bernert Hospital, Rahway Hospital, Jersey Shore Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, before retiring in 2012. She was a member of various nursing and professional healthcare organizations.

Daughter of the late John and Evelyn Samons Capik she is also predeceased by her brother John Capik. She is survived by her husband Denis Guzofski of Port Reading; her son Rev. Jonathan Toborowsky of Laurence Harbor and her brother William Capik of Allenhurst.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 10am at St. Lawrence R.C. Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
