Ruth M. Bogdan Billings, 69, of South Amboy died on Monday April 24, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Baltimore, Maryland she lived in Colonia before moving to South Amboy 21 years ago. Before retiring in 2010 she was employed by Merck, Rahway. She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets and collecting Santa Claus items as part of her love of Christmas.

Daughter of the late Francis J. and Marian Louise Ashman Bogdan she is also predeceased by her husband Timothy J. Billings in 2014 and her brother James Bogdan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law David M. and Alexis Billings of South Amboy and Andrew “AJ” and Kimberly Billings of Hillsborough; her sisters Patricia McCraw and Marge Potocki of Baltimore; her brother Frank Bogdan of Baltimore and her grandchildren Shelby, Matthew and Michael.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday April 28, 2017 from 5 to 7pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 5007 or www.lung.org.
