Albert Godeski, 96, of the Morgan section of Sayreville passed away on Friday May 4, 2018. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ he lived in Sayreville for 52 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by E.I. DuPont, Parlin before his retirement in 1984.
Son of the late Stephen and Jennie Godeski he is also predeceased by his loving wife Mary Fuzak Godeski in 2017. He is survived by his daughters Mary Ann, Nancy and June all of Sayreville and Sister Joan of Staten Island and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. John the Baptist Retirement Fund, 150 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577.
