Benjamin E Bajkowski, age 75, died Saturday August 18, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
Mr. Bajkowski is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bajkowski, five children: Brian Bajkowski of Mountain Top, PA, Richard Bajkowski of South Amboy, Joseph Bajkowski and his wife Darianyi Bajkowski of Monroe, Elena Stadelman and pre deceased John Stadelman of Osprey FL, Benjamin Bajkowski and his wife Crystal of South Amboy. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Alyssa Bajkowski, Joseph Bajkowski, Karlyie Bajkowski, Ethan Stadelman, Leila Stadelman, Benjamin Bajkowski, and Dahlia Bajkowski.
Benjamin is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals. He grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ one of four children to Joseph and Stella Bajkowski. After his honorable discharge from the Marines he worked as a material control specialist for General Motors for over 25 years.
In his early life he enjoyed coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as well as playing bingo and going to the casinos.
The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday August 24, 2018 at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe, NJ 08831 followed by interment in Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 9pm.
