Dennis F. Quinlan, 74, of Parlin died on Thursday January 11, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy he lived in Parlin most of his life. Before retiring he was employed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, South Amboy and AFL-CIO Local 200.

Son of the late Francis and Jennie Hoffman Quinlan he is also predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Whiteley in 2016; his brother William Polochak and his sisters Helen Mackiel and Theresa Ritter. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Judith Dieker Quinlan; his son Patrick Quinlan of Sayreville; his son-in-law Norman Whiteley of Parlin; his sisters Marcella Madeline and Mary Bruce of Florida; his sisters-in-law JoAnne Petrosky of Pennsylvania, and Carol Buchanan and Peg Dieker of Barnegat; his brother-in-law Jim Dieker of Sayreville; his grandchildren Dennis Quinlan of Bloomfield and Norman Whiteley, Megan Quinlan and Matt Whiteley of Parlin and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 5:30pm from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 6pm service at Trinity United Methodist Church, 815 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy, NJ with repast dinner to immediately follow in the church hall. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 5:30pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
