Gerald J. Poland, 66, of Morgan found peace on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Born in Rahway, he lived in Sayreville all his life. He was employed by IBEW Local 3, New York City.

Son of the late Robert J. and Hilda Havel Poland he is survived by his wife Kathie Pearson Poland; his son and daughter-in-law Gerry and Robyn Poland of South Amboy; his daughter and son-in-law Barb and Howard Ung of Whippany; his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Cynthia Poland of South Amboy; his brother Greg Poland and his companion Joan Matoulionis of Phillipsburg; his sister Sue Ann Precour and her companion Tom Malinowski of Maryland; his grandchildren Lili, Jack and Thomas; his aunt and uncle Pat and Howard McCarthy of Illinois as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 from 3 to 5pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
