Helen M. Kane

Helen M. Kane, 71, of South Amboy passed peacefully with family by her side on Friday June 29, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania she lived in South Amboy most of her life. Before retiring she was employed by Kastle Kreations, South Amboy. She loved to crochet, sit by the water and watch the sailboats and listen to doo-wop, especially the Duprees. 

Daughter of the late James and Helen Hagenbuch Kane she is also predeceased by her husband Joseph Lewandowski. She is survived by her son John Kane of South Amboy; her daughters and sons-in-law Rhonda and Russell DeCarlo of South Amboy and Jamie and Lawrence Stratton of South Amboy; her sister Liz Liposky of South Amboy; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; her godchildren Francis Liposky, Brandon Lloyd and Erica Kane; many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly and her beloved dog Willow.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 1 to 3pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
