James Keevins Obituary

James Robert Keevins, 86, of Old Bridge, NJ passed away on July 14, 2018. Originally from Tenafly, NJ, he met his wife Mary Helen Keevins and moved to Old Bridge where they raised their six children. Known to his friends as Jim, he loved NASCAR, spending time with friends and family in Lavallette, and getting in his 10,000 steps a day. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and treasured grandpa. He was a dear friend to all who knew him and would never hesitate to lend a hand.

He is preceded by his loving wife Mary Helen Keevins and his brother Thomas Keevins. He is survived by his siblings, Veronica Keevins and Raymond Keevins, his children and their families: James Keevins; Anne Marie Keevins and her daughter MaryKate; Joseph and Jeanne Keevins and their children Jamie and Michael; Eileen Keevins; Thomas and Michelle Keevins and their sons Matthew, Adam, and Alex; and Timothy and Kelly Keevins and their son Connor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church, Parlin. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.
