Joan T. Sherry Giordani

Joan T. Sherry Giordani, 85, died Thursday August 9, 2018 with her loving daughter and loving family by her side.  She was born and raised in Perth Amboy. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy.  Joan was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an artist. She enjoyed the beach, music and chocolate.

Daughter of the late James and Catherine O’Brien Sherry she is also predeceased by her husband, Harold Giordani in 1977, her son Louis Giordani in 2009 and her sister Constance Iorillo Galante in 1996. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Michael O’Connor of Sayreville, her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Sherry Bufano of Harford, PA, her grandchildren Ian and Erin O’Connor and Nicholas Giordani and her loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joan and Louis on Friday September 14, 2018 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta St., South Amboy. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
