John Joseph Patrick Finnegan, Jr., 69, of South Amboy died on Monday August 5, 2019 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Jamaica, Queens, in his younger years he enjoyed gymnastics, swimming and diving. He was previously employed as a food distribution manager in Tenafly. He was a graduate of Levittown Memorial High School, Long Island and also attended Farmingdale College.

Son of the late John Joseph Patrick, Sr. and Florence Veronica Regan Finnegan he is survived by his son Christopher Finnegan; his daughter Kimberly Finnegan; his brothers Timothy and Kevin Finnegan; his sisters Lynne and Constance Finnegan and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation and burial in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet will be private.
