Judith Chrappo Harkness

Judith Chrappo Harkness, 72, of Parlin died on Monday November 5, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Rahway she grew up in Clark before moving to Parlin. She was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office, South Amboy for 30 years, retiring at age 70. She loved gardening and animals and was a truly selfless person, always thinking of others.

Daughter of the late Matthew and Ann Chorniewy Chrappo she is also predeceased by her sister Betty Bird. She is survived by her children Tracey Coker and her husband Mark, Thomas Matthew Harkness and David Harkness and her grandchildren Stephanie Coker, Annmarie Kahn and Nicole Coker.

Cremation was private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 2110, New York, NY 10122, www.give.ocrfa.org.
