Mary L. Sullivan Connor, 82, died on Monday September 10, 2018 at home. Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania she moved to South Amboy in 1961. Before retiring she was employed as an X-ray technician at South Amboy Memorial Hospital. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she also volunteered at the St. Mary Food Pantry and was a member of the South Amboy Senior Citizens.
Daughter of the late William and Mary McDermott Sullivan she is survived by her husband Thomas V. Connor; her sons Timothy Connor and his wife Brenda of Point Pleasant and Michael Connor of Keyport; her daughters Cathryn Scupp and her husband Kevin of Perth Amboy and Margaret Boretzky and her husband Stephen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her brother Rev. William Sullivan, O.SS.T. of Miami, Florida; her sister Laurita Stout of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren Alex, Zachary, Patrick, Sean, Dana and Jennifer and her husband Josh and her great-granddaughter Brylee.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 15, 2018 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Food Pantry, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
