Mary Margaret “Peg” Reilly Christensen, 92, of South Amboy passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at McAuley Hall Health Center, Watchung. Peg was born in South Amboy and proudly called it home for all of her life. A dedicated homemaker, devoted wife and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Peg was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy and also enjoyed playing cards, dancing and sharing stories and laughter with her cherished family and friends.

Daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Reilly she is also predeceased by her beloved husband Robert W. Christensen and dear sister Elizabeth “Betty” Pawlowski. She is survived by her son Eric Christensen and daughter-in-law Annemarie of South Amboy; her daughters Roberta “Robin” Hughes of Broomall, Pennsylvania and Sr. Maureen Christensen, RSM of Wall; her grandchildren Matthew Christensen, his wife Carrie and son Hunter, Nicole Turner, her husband Ryan, Ryan Christensen, Robert W. Hughes, his husband Matthew Sroda and Meghan Thomer, her husband Brian and children Kaleigh and Aidan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm.
