Nancy G. Conlin Kennedy, 79, of Whiting died on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at home. Born in New Philadelphia, Ohio she lived in Cliffwood and Old Bridge before settling in Whiting in 2004. Before retiring in 2004 she was employed as the apartment manager of London Terrace and Parkwood Village. She loved to bake, sew, travel, play Bingo and go camping. She had the honor of being the first female Captain of a First Aid Squad in Monmouth County for Aberdeen Township.
Daughter of the late Joseph W. and Genevieve Nixon Conlin she is also predeceased by her sister Linda Volpe in 2013. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jack and Xinia Kennedy of Sayreville; her daughters and sons-in-law Janet Kennedy and Wilson Leivas of Sayreville and Kim and Nabig Sakr of Old Bridge; her brother William Conlin of Old Bridge; her brother-in-law Robert Volpe of Old Bridge; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 18, 2018 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 9pm.
