Patti Pelly, 71, of South Amboy died on Friday October 12, 2018 at Monroe Village Nursing Home after a courageous 13 month battle with cancer, and donated her body to the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania she lived in South Amboy for 35 years. A graduate of the Cittone Institute, Edison she was employed as a legal secretary for Judge Emery Toth, Perth Amboy for over 25 years. An avid reader, she loved old movies, swimming and cooking large Sunday dinners. A member of First Baptist Church, Perth Amboy she loved to read the Bible, especially the Book of Revelation. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren above all else.
Daughter of the late Walter Pelly and Audrenne E. McAlarney Buff she is also predeceased by her niece Darlene Gallagher-Deal. She is survived by her sons Carmen Semenza and his fiancée Toni Tarallo of Morgan and Joseph Semenza of South Amboy; her daughter Theresa Spicer and her husband William, Sr. of Springfield, Pennsylvania; her sisters and brothers-in-law Carole Buff-Mulcahy and her husband Timothy and Sharon Diemer and her husband Harry; her grandchildren Maureen and Shailei Semenza, William, Jr., Michael and John Spicer and Bryan and Nicholas Klein; her nephews Thomas Gallagher and Zachary Mulcahy; her great-nephew Matthew Gallagher; her great-niece Danielle Woltanski and 2 great-great-nieces.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
