Father Duggan, you have helped so many people, you were an old school pastor that made Saint James a better place, you transformed the building and it's members. I had made my communion and confirmation back in the 70s and 80s my daughter was making her confirmation and I was not so happy with the way people behaved at the other church so I took her over to St James one day and father Duggan had started, and seen firsthand all the good he did with strong leadership and a commanding voice he was a kind no nonsense priest, that made it enjoyable to go to church. I would learn more about the Catholic religion from him than anyone before him. Because of him I became an extra ordinary Eucharistic minister, and was glad to be at his 25 anniversary with the Catholic Church, me and my family will miss you, and this world was a better place because of him, God called an angel home. May you rest in peace

My deepest sympathies and condolences to Fr. Duggan's family, Diocesan family and friends. Fr. Kevin was one of the kindest people I have ever met. While he was an associate at St. Thomas, he brought great wisdom, compassion and understanding to our parish family as well as a great sense of humor and gorgeous baritone singing voice. Go take your rest in the arms of God, good and faithful servant Kevin. You will be sorely missed. 93

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Father Duggan conducted my wedding 7 years ago at St. James and was so kind and welcoming to my husband who was Baptist and grew up in Guatemala. Having our ceremony in the Catholic Church was a big unknown step for my husband but one he was committed to because he loved me.. Father Duggan put my husband at ease, sharing stories of his time spent as a young priest helping others in Spanish speaking countries and making my husband laugh with little side jokes in his best Spanish (with Boston accent)! Father went out of his way to be sure my husband's family, faith and culture were represented in the ceremony. Devastatingly, my husband has since passed, way too young and way too soon. The memory of our wedding day and all Father Duggan did to make it special will forever bring me comfort. I pray that knowing the impact your brother made on the lives of those he touched with give all of you comfort too.
