Slawomir Stepien, 59, of Parlin died on Sunday November 25, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Grabica, Poland he moved to the United States in 1988 and settled in Parlin in 1993. He was a self-employed electrician. A very caring and unselfish person, he loved soccer and making people laugh.
Son of the late Witold Stepien he is survived by his wife Jolanta Antonik Stepien; his son and daughter-in-law Lukasz and Francesca Stepien of Laurence Harbor; his mother Genowefa Zajac Stepien of Poland; his brothers Krzysztof Stepien of Poland and Andzej Stepien and his wife Genowefa of Poland; his nephew Kamil Stepien of Poland and his niece Agnieszka Stepien of Spain.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 29, 2018 at 8:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 7 to 9pm.
