Stephen Makar

Stephen Makar, 77, of Laurence Harbor died on Friday August 31, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Jersey City he lived in Laurence Harbor since 1974. Before retiring he was employed by PSE&G, Sewaren. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge 784, South Amboy, the Laurence Harbor Volunteer Fire Company and American Legion Post 62, South Amboy.

Son of the late Anna Makar he is also predeceased by his wife Elsie Trotter Makar in 2013. He is survived by his sister Patricia Stephenson; his niece Stephanie Stephenson and his nephew Robert Ptaszynski.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 16, 2018 from 5 to 8pm at the South Amboy Elks Lodge, 601 Washington Avenue, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
