Vincent Catapano, 92, of Parlin died on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Care One Holmdel. Born in Newark he lived in Parlin most of his life. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Before retiring in 1988 he was employed by Kimberly Clark, Spotswood.

Son of the late Joseph and Virginia Diadone Catapano he is also predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years Olga E. Ricci Catapano and his sister Connie Boros. He is survived by his son Steven Catapano and his wife Lisa of Toms River; his daughter Victoria Benedetto of Parlin; his grandchildren Stefanie Eremus, Katlin Catapano and Joseph Benedetto and his great-grandchildren Shane, Gavin, Mia, Lucia and Trace.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
