William J. Brennan, 72, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in South Amboy he lived in Morgan most of his life. Before retiring in 2007 he was employed by the Old Bridge Board of Education as an English teacher. He earned a bachelors degree from Monmouth University. He was a lifelong New York Yankees and Giants fan and enjoyed doing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzles every week.

Son of the late Joseph and Natalie Reese Brennan he is survived by his wife Kathy Beck Brennan; his daughter Moira Brennan of New York City; his son Tony Ridzyowski and his wife Kathy of Aberdeen; his sister Ann Borbely and her husband Robert of Marlboro; his brother James Brennan and his wife Carol of Palm Harbor, Florida; his nephews Scott Borbely and his wife Kristin of Holmdel, Patrick Borbely and his wife Sharon of Cumming, Georgia, James Brennan and his wife Sandra of Palm Harbor, Florida and his niece Tracy Schirmer and her husband Paul of Currituck, North Carolina.

Visitation will be on Saturday October 7, 2017 from 2 to 6pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
