Alexander G. Matthaey

Alexander G. Matthaey, 63, of Keansburg died on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Red Bank he was previously employed by the Club at Woodbridge. He enjoyed playing Santa and flying kites.

Son of the late William and Margaret Buettner Matthaey he is also predeceased by his sister Suzanne Matthaey in 2021. He is survived by his wife Patricia Martyn Matthaey; his daughters Erin Matthaey and Allyson Philippi and her wife Kristin; his siblings Janice Matthaey, Jeffrey Matthaey and his wife Nancy, Thomas Matthaey and his wife LuAnne, Andrea Dzioba and her husband Steven and Neil Matthaey and his wife Theresa; and his nieces and nephews William, Cortney, Emily, Christopher, Katherine, Samantha and Edward.

Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. A memorial service will be planned in the future.
