Ann Laverne English, 67, of Matawan died on Sunday October 13, 2024 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy she lived there until moving to Matawan in 2016. Before retiring she was employed by Kastle Kreations, South Amboy. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she was an art and music lover and formerly taught Pre-Kindergarten and art at St. Mary’s Elementary School.
Daughter of the late John R. “Jake” and Theresa M. Render English she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Philip J. and Anna English; her niece Stephanie Hathcock and her husband Andrew; her aunt Carol English and her husband Walter and her cousins Patsy Marczak and Phil Render and his wife Angela.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 18, 2024 at 10:30am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday morning only from 9 to 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
