Ann Strilka Starek

Ann Strilka Starek, 90, of Spotswood died on Friday July 18, 2025 at home. Born in Poland she was previously employed by AnCel Beauty Salon, Carteret. A member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Perth Amboy she was an avid gardener and loved trips to Atlantic City.

Daughter of the late Peter and  Catherine Strilka she is also predeceased by her husband Walter Starek in 2005. She is survived by her sons Walter Starek and his wife Theresa, Mark Starek, Richard Starek and his wife Lisa and Jimmy Starek and his wife Bridgit; her grandchildren Tiffany, Heather, Peter, Ricky, Thomas and Haley and her great-grandchildren Summer, Ann-Marie and Skylar.

A Divine Liturgy will be offered on Tuesday July 22, 2025 at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, 684 Alta Vista Place, Perth Amboy followed by interment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
