Anna Marie Faccone, 70, of South Amboy passed away on Monday March 18, 2024 at home. Born in Jersey City she was a member of St. Mary, Star of the Sea R.C. Church, South Amboy where she also served as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion. She was previously employed by the Sayreville Public Library. A very devoted Catholic, she worked for a food pantry and was a devoted caregiver to her mother and others. She loved music, dancing and having fun with her family and friends. She was the author of the book “Take a Bike Ride to Infinity”.
Daughter of the late Anthony Faccone she is also predeceased by her niece Mary Jo Esposito and her brother-in-law Angelo Iorio. She is survived by her mother (104) Caroline Figurelli Faccone; her twin sister Dolores Lombardi and her husband Tony; her sisters Joann Iorio and Carol McCrystal and her husband Billy; her nieces and nephews Anthony Iorio and his wife Nancy, Chris Iorio and his wife Marilyn, Lauren Nestor (the late Mike) and Ryan McCrystal; 7 great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
