Anne S. Dowdell Richmond

Anne S. Dowdell Richmond, 87, of South Amboy died on Friday November 19, 2021 at CareOne at Jackson. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. Before retiring she was employed as a pediatric nurse. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church she was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Clemson football.

Daughter of the late Raymond and Blanche Sexton Dowdell she is also predeceased by her husband of 62 years Bruce Roland Richmond in 2016; her daughter-in-law Donna Richmond; her grandson Kyle Richmond and her aunt Sadie Dowdell. She is survived by her sons Bruce Richmond and his wife Joann of Forked River, Chris Richmond and his wife Judith of Walkersville, Maryland and Steven Richmond of South Amboy; her grandchildren Kevin, Jennifer, Amanda, Scott, Tyler, Matthew and his wife Kate, Kimberly Baychev and her husband Ivo and Bryan; her great-granddaughter Sadie and her special neighbors Kelly Walsh and Mary and Maggie Whiteley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 24, 2021 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sadie Pope Dowdell Library, 100 H.G.
