Aristeo Herrera

Aristeo Herrera, 53, of South Amboy died on Thursday June 12, 2025 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico he was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. He was employed by Encore Audio Visual, New York. An avid fan of the New York Jets, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his daughters above all else. He was a very hardworking man and enjoyed working with his brother Leo.

Son of the late Jesus Herrera Cruz and Teodora Juarez Cruz he is survived by his wife Michelle Balsamo Herrera; his daughters Brianna, Emily and Mercedes Herrera; his siblings Leo Herrera and his wife Magdalena and Elena, Agustina and Aurelio Herrera; additional siblings in Mexico as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 7pm.
