Artemio Ruiz

Artemio Ruiz, 89, of Sayreville died on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico he read his Bible every day. After retiring from Heavy & General Laborers Locals 472 and 172, he enjoyed working on his farm in Puerto Rico.

Son of the late Juana Ruiz he is also predeceased by his son Manuel Ruiz and his grandson David. He is survived by his wife Maria Soto Ruiz; his children Maria Ruiz, Carmen Ruiz, Luis Ruiz and his wife Marie, Miguel “Bache” Ruiz, Leonardo Ruiz and Wilfredo Ruiz; his grandchildren Rena, Manuel, Jr., Anthony, Korin, Luis, Jr., Samantha, Sarah, Jessica, Roselyne, Leanys, Jennifer, Giovanni and Samuel and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service take place at 5:30pm on Friday February 21, 2025 during visitation from 4 to 6pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private.
