Barbara V. Drude Brower, 97, of Old Bridge passed away on Friday January 24, 2025 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. She was born and raised in Jersey City, then married the love of her life, Richard Brower, and they resided in Laurence Harbor for many years prior to moving to Wildwood. She was previously employed by Wawa Food Store in Wildwood for 23 years. Following her retirement she moved to South Amboy briefly, then to Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge. She enjoyed playing the lottery and Bingo and trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Daughter of the late Henry William, Jr. and Rose Oehler Drude she is also predeceased by her husband Richard Brower; her son Wayne Brower; her son-in-law William Carling and her daughter-in-law Theresa Brower. She is survived by her sons Richard Brower of Keansburg and William Brower and his wife Ursula of Morganville; her daughter Debra Carling of Spotswood; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
