Bernadette Maliszewski Connors

Bernadette M. Connors, 72, of South Amboy died on Friday October 21, 2022 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. She was employed as an administrative assistant at St. Mary’s Grammar School, South Amboy and then at Our Lady of Victories School, Sayreville. She was also employed for over 25 years by Madura Pharmacy, South Amboy. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she was a longtime member of the choir, served on the board of Music at St. Mary’s and was also a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

Daughter of the late Raymond, Sr. and Anna Szumski Maliszewski she is also predeceased by her sisters Mary Neilson and Sr. Joan Marie, CSSF. She is survived by her husband Clifford F. Connors, Jr.; her daughter Sarah Uscocovich and her husband Shawn of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania; her son Timothy Connors of South Amboy; her brother Raymond Maliszewski, Jr.; her grandchildren Anthony Cantinieri and Jacob and Riely Uscocovich and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 11am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning only from 9 to 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National MS Society.
