Beth Ann Griffiths Mottley, 69, of Parlin went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 16, 2021. Born in Glen Ridge she was employed as a teacher in Sayreville, South Amboy and Marshfield, Massachusetts. As a lifelong educator, she never truly retired.

Daughter of the late John Rhys and Jean Constance Rand Griffiths she is predeceased by her brother Thomas Howard Griffiths in 1974; her brother-in-law David J. Welsh in 2020 and her sister-in-law Linda C. Griffiths in 2019. She is survived by her husband Dennis Mottley; her son John Dennis Mottley and his wife Ashley; her daughter Jean Marie Mottley; her sister BJ Griffiths-Welsh; her brother Howard Griffiths; her granddaughters Morgan, Madison and Adalynn and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 23, 2021 at 1pm at the First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy, 150 North Broadway, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the church or Rutgers University Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
