Betty Jean Reilly

Betty Jean Reilly, 86, of South Amboy died on Monday December 1, 2025 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in Neptune she grew up in Harrison before settling in South Amboy over 50 years ago. She was very generous, donating to many charities and was very active with the Food Pantry at the First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy and with school backpack donations. She enjoyed reading and walking.

Daughter of the late William and Jean Hellings Reilly she is survived by her sister Margaret Reilly; her cousins Barbara Story, Marty Bernritter and his wife Karen and John Bernritter and his wife Cheryl; her cats Molly, Gidget, Spidey and Natches and many extended family members and friends.

Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
