Betty Williams Reagan Obituary

Betty Lee Williams Reagan, 89, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed peacefully at home on Friday, February 18, 2022 with her family around her.

Betty grew up in Linden and was named Homecoming Queen at Linden High School.  She married her high school sweetheart in June of 1952.  They started their family with the birth of their daughter, Nancy Lee, and then their son, Gene.  They moved to Sayreville in 1955 and raised their family. They ran their business, Triple R Maintenance, together for many years.

Betty lived a good life, focusing on her family.  In their younger days, Gene and Betty could be found on any given weekend enjoying dinners at the Robert E Lee or Clare and Cobys.  They spent many nights at the Knights of Columbus in South Amboy or the Sayreville Elks.  Betty enjoyed bowling with her friends and was an avid reader.  Gene and Betty traveled the world.  However, Betty was happiest in her home with her family around her.  Countless family and holiday celebrations were spent there, always good food, drink and laughter.   Gene and Betty were able to enjoy their retirement together.  The last few years Betty’s time was spent doting over her great grandchild, her Pumpkin, Kennedy.  There was no better sound than when Betty broke into uncontrolled laughter, bringing her to tears.  We are all better people having had her in our lives.

Daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn Williams, she is predeceased by her husband of 61 years Eugene J Reagan in 2013, her granddaughter Keri Ann Magoon, and her son in law Stephen Yetman.  She is survived by her daughter Nancy Lee Yetman of Toms River, her son and daughter in law Gene and Trish Reagan of South Amboy, her grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew Kowitski of Far Hills, Mitchell (Sonny) and Mandy Savitsky of Sewell, Gene Reagan and Kelly Tweedly of Sayreville, Eric (Bummer) and Jacqueline Savitsky of Manasquan, Matthew Reagan and Vita Errante of Columbus, and Nicholas Reagan of South Amboy, her great grandchildren Ava and Kendall Kowitski, Mitchell Savitsky and Kennedy Reagan.
