Carol Sullivan Lukie

Carol Sullivan Lukie, 84, of South Amboy died on Sunday August 10, 2025 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life and was previously employed as an aide with the Board of Education. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she enjoyed attending basketball games and following her grandchildren’s sports and activities.

Daughter of the late Philip J. and Clare Eggers Sullivan she is also predeceased by her twin Clare Bouchard in 2010. She is survived by her husband John F. Lukie; her son John Lukie; her daughter and son-in-law Caryn and Jim Brown; her sister Eileen Canniff; her grandchildren Tommy, Jack, Sara, Chrissy and her husband Oscar, Mark and his wife Danielle and Catherine and her great-grandchildren Leilani, Valentina, Julianna, Maggie and Peyton.

Cremation was private. Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 9 to 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
