Carol Ann Szabo Magyar

Carol Ann Szabo Magyar, 80, of Perth Amboy died on Tuesday October 28, 2025 at home. Born in South Amboy she was previously employed as a visiting nurse. Carol was dedicated to her family, loved spending time with her grandchildren and was known as the best cook ever. Her favorite holiday, by far, was Christmas.

Daughter of the late Stephen and Marie Letts Szabo she is survived by her children Charlene Cooper and her husband Leonard, Stacey Makwinski and her husband Kenneth, Wendy Cherris and her husband Steve, Rae Ann Magyar, Melanie Ortega and her husband Edwardo and Melissa Ferrer; her grandchildren Leonard, Howard, Crystal, Sandra, Josh, Justin, Ryan, Kenny, Jr., Jimi, Andrew, Abby, Brianna, Megan, Isabella, Elaina, Victor, Jr., Alex and Emily; 18 great-grandchildren and her grand-pups Daisy, Winny and Sonny.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 31, 2025 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church, Parlin. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Thursday October 30 from 3-7pm.
