Cecelia Theresa Hanaway Gosford, 96, of South Amboy died on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at the Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center, South Amboy surrounded by her loving family. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she was also a member of the St. Mary’s and South Amboy Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading and walking and loved her family.

Daughter of the late John and Mary Donlin Hanaway, she is also predeceased by her husband Vincent Joseph Gosford, Sr. in 1999; 7 brothers and sisters and her son-in-law John Conroy. She is survived by her son Vincent Gosford and his wife Maureen Carroll of Little Egg Harbor; her daughters Judith O’Connor and her husband Richard of Long Beach Island, Catherine Conroy of Whiting and Mary Sue Felice and her husband Michael of Manchester; her grandchildren Mary Shannon Given, David and Patrick O’Connor, John Conroy, Alicia and Vincent Gosford, Michael Felice, Amy Rivera, and Karen and Timothy Felice; her great-grandchildren Freddie, Emma, Molly, Brendan, Kiernan, Keira, Alexis, Aubrey, Kristian, Vincent, Shaun, Lincoln and Alex.

Funeral services will be held on Monday April 3, 2023 at 11am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Monday morning only from 9 to 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
