Cynthia M. Van Camp Forero, 56, of South Amboy died on Saturday April 11, 2026. Cindy’s early life was plentiful. She attended schools in Perth Amboy, was a Girl Scout, was a member of the Morgan Blackhawks Marching Band and participated in NJ American Pageants. Cindy graduated from Middlesex County Vocational & Technical School and Berkley College. She held jobs as a professional banker and beautician.
She lived in Perth Amboy before settling in South Amboy. She loved to dance to all kinds of music and was a diehard Yankee fan, her favorite being Derek Jeter. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her fur grandbaby Bub.
She is predeceased by her daughter Amanda Ruela; her grandmother Helen Iorillo; her uncle Alexander Iorillo and her brother-in-law Carlos Diaz. She is survived by her husband Alfonso Forero; her sons Mario and Giovanni; her mother Claire Van Camp; her sister Victoria Diaz; her brothers-in-law Tico, Benjamin and Luis; her mother-in-law Blanca Forero and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 20, 2026 at 10:30am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be on Monday morning only from 9 to 10:30am.
