Obituary

Daniel P. Ust, 77, of Aberdeen died on Friday September 8, 2023 at Monmouth Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in South Amboy he was previously employed by E.I. DuPont, Parlin and was the proprietor of Danny’s Market. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era, Danny was a proud race car owner winning the “1990 NASCAR WINSTON MODIFIED TOUR Champion Owner” title with the Danny’s Market race car.

Son of the late Paul J., Sr. and Pauline “Pat” Bogurski Ust he is also predeceased by his sisters Barbara Ann Ust in 1944 and Elizabeth “Betty Jane” Semenza in 2018 and his sister-in-law Joanne Ust in 2021. He is survived by his son Daniel; his brothers Paul J. Ust, Jr. and his wife Paula of Sammamish, Washington and Al Ust of South Amboy; his nieces and nephews Paul, Andrew, Brant, Sarah, Alex, Jr., Lynn, Barbara, Jeff, Lisa and Anthony and many great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 9:30am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday morning only from 8:30 to 9:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
