Obituary
Dessiree A. “Dessi” Mateo, 59, of Sewaren died on Saturday January 22, 2022 at home.
Dessiree dedicated her life to her children, exemplifying integrity, honesty, but most importantly unconditional love. Everyone that has been blessed to meet her and witness her beautiful smile can all agree that her kindness can not only be seen but felt by all. She gave her all to everything that she did, this is why she made the decision to pursue a nursing degree. Although she was not able to graduate, Dessiree helped so many with her actions that in actuality a degree was never needed, her heart was more than enough. She is survived by her only daughter Sarina, her "big baby" Angel, and her "baby boy" Zane; also by her three grandchildren Denzel, Alana, and Carmelo. Dessiree's love and laughter may not be physically here with us but will forever live in our hearts, reminding us to live life loudly, freely, but most importantly full of love.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at 3:30pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm.
