Dominick F. Candito, Jr.

Dominick F. Candito, Jr., 75, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died on Thursday March 31, 2022 at home. Born in Jersey City he was employed by Metroplex Distributors, Edison until retiring in 2009. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy he enjoyed competitive roller skating, gardening and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lorraine Kierst Candito; his daughters Lisa Wavro, Karen Cygal and her husband Charles and Nicole Mish and her husband Scott, Sr.; his grandchildren Kyle Wavro, Scott and Sydney Mish and Kiersten Cygal and his brothers Matthew and Richard Candito. Son of the late Dominick F., Sr. and Margaret Davis Candito he is also predeceased by his brother William Candito and his sister Denise Darmento.

Funeral services will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Monday morning only from 8:30 to 9:45am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
