Eleanor M. Gibson

Eleanor M. Gibson, 60, of South Amboy passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Staten Island she grew up in Old Bridge and graduated from East Brunswick Vo-Tech in 1982. Before retiring in 2020 she was employed by FedEx, South Brunswick. A member of the Laurence Harbor Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary she was also a volunteer with Pink Heals of Central New Jersey.

Daughter of the late Barbara Besanceney Gibson she is also predeceased by her sister-in-law Mary Gibson. She is survived by her father Kenneth S. Gibson; her son Travis Toth and his wife Sarah; her daughter Amanda Toth; her sister Liz Kaplan and her husband Mike; her brothers Kenny Gibson, Keith Gibson and his wife Dina and Kevin Gibson and his wife Linda; 20 cousins; 4 nephews Matthew, Kyle, Andrew and his wife Leslie and Jason Gibson and her best bitch Patti Mendola.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 4 to 8pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Laurence Harbor Fire Department, PO Box 1088, Laurence Harbor, NJ 08879.

The family will be hosting a Memorial Service at Laurence Harbor Fire House on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
