Eleanor C. Hoffman Hayden, 93, of South Amboy died on Sunday February 5, 2023 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Hackensack she was previously employed as a hairstylist. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks and loved spending time with her family.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Hoffman she is also predeceased by her husband Gerald Hayden in 2000; her son Robert O’Toole; her daughter Kathleen Khalil; her brother Joseph Hoffman and her sister Frances Ravallo. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law William and Michele O’Toole of Hazlet; her daughter and son-in-law Janet and Kevin Nealon of Mantua; her daughter-in-law Monica Glenn and her husband Randy of Middletown; her grandchildren Colin Redmond and his wife Vira, Monica O’Toole, Kathleen Hartley and her husband Sean, Brittany Ruotilio, Christine Khalil and her fiancé Anthony, Taylor Ruotilio and Austin Nealon and her great-grandchildren Connor Redmond, Christopher and Samantha Albanese, Kymber Hartley and Theresa Murphy.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday February 9, 2023 at 9:30am at St. Bernadette’s Church, 20 Villanova Road, Parlin followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
