Eugene F. Dennen

Eugene F. Dennen, 80, of South Amboy died on Friday April 4, 2025 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. Born and raised in South Amboy he was previously employed by E.I. DuPont, Parlin. He was proud and honored to serve in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and enjoyed talking about his time in the Navy. Gene loved the town he grew up in. Anyone that knew him knows how much he loved playing shortstop, shooting pool and playing guitar. Those loves stayed with him throughout his life.

Son of the late Eugene F. and Martha Kosovich Dennen he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Eric E. and Jackie Dennen; his daughter and son-in-law Nancy L. and Jim Williams; his brother John Dennen; his grandsons Christopher Williams and his wife Donna; Sean Williams and his fiancée Carli Terreault, Jason Williams and Kevin Dennen; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at 9:30am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Friends of South Amboy.
