Floro Bernardo “Cacho” Gimenez, 83, of South Amboy died on Monday October 7, 2024 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Palmira, Mendoza, Argentina he was previously employed as a butcher for PathMark for 25 years. He loved to sing and play the guitar, loved Argentinian folklore and a good Argentinian Malbec wine. Cacho loved all soccer, especially the Argentinian team, gathering with friends to do an asado and smoking cigarettes.
Son of the late Angel and Rosa Crauchuk Gimenez he is survived by his wife Doris Viani; his children Carolina, Federico, Maria Eugenia, Valeria, Agustina and Alejandra; 5 sons-in-law; 1 daughter-in-law; 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation, including a small religious service, will be on Saturday October 12, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private.
