Frank R. Dziekan

Frank R. Dziekan, 92, of South Amboy died on Saturday March 21, 2026 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in South Amboy he lived there his entire life. He served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a police officer for the South Amboy Police Department for 30+ years. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy. He was an avid bowler and golfer until his later years. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers. He loved summer vacations in Maine and golf outings in Myrtle Beach with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Pauline; his sister Helen P. “Pat” Doyle and her husband Vincent J. Doyle, Sr. and his best friend of many years Ray Durski. Surviving are his beloved cousin and caregiver, Sue Reszkowski of South Amboy; dearest nephew and his wife, Vincent J, Jr. and Patricia Doyle of Howell, their daughters, Jennifer and her husband Joseph Ricevuto and Kristin Doyle, and their grandchildren, Alexis and Carlito; nephew and his wife, James P. and Tracy Doyle of Naples, Florida, their daughter Samantha; and niece Mary Ann Doyle of Basking Ridge; along with many cousins, friends, and godchildren.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday March 25, 2026 from 4 to 8pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Family and friends may gather at 9:15am on Thursday March 26 at the funeral home followed by a 10am Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 531 Washington Avenue. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church or a charity of your choice.
